Congrats to WSRH Alumnus Mike Roy

The Major League Baseball season has just begun and Class of 2010 graduate Mike Roy is working as a videographer and video editor for the Miami Marlins. Mike was a reporter and anchor for WSRH News and played Varsity Baseball at Seminole Ridge High. This is definitely a dream job for Mike! Congratulations!

Seminole Ridge TV wins 1st at STN National Convention

Seminole Ridge TV attended the STN (Student Television Network) National Convention for the first time and took home a win!   The convention was held in Orlando at the Rosen Plaza Hotel and Orange County Convention Center.

Junior Jezebel Perez and sophomore Cara Engh won 1st Place in the PSA competition.  Perez and Engh had to create a PSA promoting the “golden rule” in 6 hours: 3 for planning & shooting, 3 for editing.

Mr. Wright and 10 students (C.J. Bates, Connor Nugent, Nataly Berdecia, Jezebel Perez, Cara Engh, Anthony Gugliotta, Andrew Garcia, Ricky Bong, Christian Menke and Nick Koenig) competed in the Sweet 16 Film Challenge which required the team to create a short film in under 16 hours.   The film had to have the title “The Big Squeeze” and feature 3 shots with an orange as a prop.

Lip Dub 2014

For the first time ever, the Seminole Ridge High Television Production Academy and our awesome Student Government Association teamed up on Thursday March 6th to produce a school-wide Lib Dub video. The theme was “Be Brave: Get Involved” and spotlights many of the fun academies, clubs, sports and other activities on our campus. Special thanks to SGA Advisor Melissa Long for making this happen! I know my students had a great time making this video.
