WSRH News broadcasts 5 days a week across our campus to approximately 2,600 students and staff members. Our daily newscast is 10 minutes long and features school announcements, news stories, interviews, weather, sports stories, commercials, public service announcements and much more.
Students work as a team to produce our daily newscast as well as our monthly newsmagazine broadcast and our weekly sports show. Students learn to work as producers, anchors, reporters, technical director, floor director, graphics operators, photojournalists, studio camera operators and more!
Our Television Production Academy offers students the opportunity to learn not just about television news, but also commercials, PSAs, short films and music videos. The goal of our program is to develop well-rounded storytellers and each year our students win local, state and national contests in television and film.
