Seminole Ridge High School’s Television Production Academy has a long history of excellence. It is our belief that if our students do their best and strive to produce work that looks professional, then they will always have a chance to win competitions and film festivals. We like to say, “Winning isn’t everything, but wanting to win is!” Our students have won numerous local, state and national honors… but the honors listed below are some of our proudest recent accomplishments.

WSRH NEWS Daily Show named “BROADCAST EXCELLENCE” WINNER at STN 2023 as the Top Taped Daily Newscast in the Nation!
WSRH EXTRA Newsmagazine wins 1ST PLACE Arts & Culture Feature Story & HONORABLE MENTION (4th Place) in STN 2023 CRAZY 8s Newsmagazine Challenge.
Class of 2021 senior Shelby Hatcher wins both the Pathfinder Award in Communications AND the Burt Reynolds Scholarship from the Palm Beach Student Showcase of Films! She also won the Documentary category!
Class of 2019 senior Bryce Brant wins the $10,000 Mike Wallace Scholarship from the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences as the top student broadcast journalist in the nation! He was presented his scholarship at the Emmy Awards!
WSRH FILMS wins HONORABLE MENTION (4th place) in CRAZY 8’s DOCUMENTARY CHALLENGE at STN STUDENT TELEVISION NETWORK NATIONAL CONVENTION 2019 in Seattle
